About me

A new year, a new life: the company Altridiomi doesn’t exist anymore, but I, Beatrice Romano, am still here with all my colleagues who have worked with me for many years. The services we have always offered are not changing, the care and diligence are not changing, and our professionalism is strengthened by the many years of experience in the sector. Please, do not hesitate to contact us. After more than 40 years of experience, here I am, in another stage of my life, facing new challenges in a world that is not what it used to be. I have closed my company, Altridiomi, due to the professional and social consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. But life goes on and I will continue to work with the precious network of colleagues who have supported me throughout these years and whom I sincerely wish to thank. We are all highly qualified interpreters, translators and intercultural mediators who live and work in Tuscany, in Italy and in the rest of the world. We will continue to provide top level services that respond to the real needs of clients, in both the linguistic and communication fields: from written translations to liaison interpretation, consecutive and simultaneous interpretation, intercultural mediation, training in specific sectors related to languages, in all languages, and with special attention to minority languages, Eastern European, Asian and African languages. Moreover, we will provide telephone interpreting and remote simultaneous interpreting, because we are aware of the need for innovative ways of working after the current pandemic. With the appropriate measures required by this new situation, we will continue to organise and manage all kinds of events related to the linguistic and training sectors. In any project we will continue to guarantee professionalism, reliability and integrity. It should be note that for each translation at least three people are involved: a project manager, a translator and an editor. We will also regularly organize courses in English for special purposes, among which, those for intercultural mediators, English focused on anti-trafficking terminology, business English, consecutive and simultaneous interpretation and Pidgin English for individuals, companies, non-governmental organizations, and public institutions..
